Hi,

I have been playing games a lot recently and was looking to invest my money in a good/worth the price custom built pc as it seems to be better doing and funner. Also this means the possibility of customization and removal of certain parts in the future. I am not very experienced in this sector and require assistance and suggestions. I have about 900euro/ $1,200/750pounds to spend. I do not mind whether it slightly exceeds my money limit, I am looking for the best build I can get with that money NOT including any monitors/peripherals .etc. I have looked at PCPartPicker and do not have much of a clue where to start, I've looked at videos and have the general idea of what I need - I would prefer Nvidia over ASD. Whatever suggestions and must haves will be a great help! I am not sure what the average price for each component should be and how to balance everything out. Not to forget, I do little work, only microsoft word .etc. I will also be watching bluray films, at the moment I have a DVD drive to use and plan to buy a bluray drive in the future, I don't mind whether it is included in the overall build for the moment. At the moment I play Rust, DayZ, Metro, Bioshock, Borderlands, Skyrim and a whole list of similar games quite similar. I will also be looking to keeping this for 2 years or more and be playing games such Titanfall and possibly other mainstream games.

if you can stretch the budget a little bit, i'd go with this build:

it has an i5 processor (one of the best for gaming), a 780(also one of the best for gaming), the corsair case, a highly rated psu, an ssd for your operating system and programs and your favorite games, and a hard disc drive for everything else. where i am it comes into $1250, which is a little more than you wanted

i can probably make it a little less expensive if you want, without sacrificing much gaming performance
exactly. when it says i7 extreme though, i think its one of those really expensive i7s that only workstations and triple 4k monitor gamers use. the cheapest processor is 500 us dollars, which is 366 euros. expensive. the motherboard would be expensive then too. hopefully its just a z97 overclocking motherboard, then you wouldnt need a new processor (though an unlocked one would be fun) :)

I'll let you know as soon as possible what kind it is. Maybe from there if I can I will consider having two cases swapping between the two 😀 That would be fun!

Oh...nevermind! I spoke to the person and in his message he said 'extreme Ci7 MB' and I understood MB as motherboard but I dunno what it actually meant. Turns out Intel gave him a Core i7 Processor! His son I just spoke to says he doesn't know the model but it's an i7..still good 😛 and my mobo is compatible with some i7's or all?

I don't think their is a motherboard, the guy wrote a message saying 'extreme Ci7 MB' so by exetreme he must mean high end Ci7 = Core i7 and then I don't know what MB was for but anyway I don't believe there is a motherboard. If there is I would consider buying a larger case and have two cases to switch between so like my bitfenix with the small itx mobo and i5 then the larger case with atx mobo and i7 and then swap out sotrage, gpu and psu etc :)

thats what i was thinking it was. maybe intel was giving out some haswell-e processors before launch? i doubt it since its not due for launch anytime soon. if it is an extreme processor itd most likely be ivy-bridge e with the x79 mobo as you said. those can be somewhat expensive, heres the cheapest one i found on amazon.it:

http://www.amazon.it/Asrock-X79-EXTREME4/dp/B0062I9ZTG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1403969920&sr=8-5&keywords=x79+motherboard

Ah so for it to work on my mobo it needs to 4th gen or 5th gen right? so i7-4*** or i7 5***. If it is 4th gen extreme cpu and my mobo is a Gigabyte H97N it still won't work? I would need a X79 mobo? Anyway let's just wait to see what kind it is! xD Fingers crossed I can use it on my mobo if not another mobo which isn't so expensive! I'll let you guys know as soon as I can :)

No need to rack your brains over pairing it up guys! Turns out he got a mobo and cpu from intel! I've yet to find out more details apart from it is a full ATX mobo so I would have to buy a large case but I dont mind!

well thats helpful :)

a larger case would improve the temps too, so you might not need the g10.

for a case suggestion, theres an nzxt h440 thats black and green. it has no 5.25in bays though, thats the only downside

You can buy an external optical drive though
The H440 is great , and the black and green style is designed by razer and looks awesome in my opinion
So if you can get the H440 go for it and add an external optical drive

Yeah I sae that case and absolutely loved it!! I'll look into it for sure and you're right about the temps they should definitely be better so I might not need the g10. But first I just have to confirm the guy will give it to me because (I highly doubt) he might ask for abot of money as I 'm sure the cpu and mobo and high end and he said cost a fair amount. But if I get them for free I'll look into the razer h440.

I still don't know the specific models. I thought my options for liquid cooling would be or a closed loop like corsair h100i or something, oorr maybe xspc liquid cooling kit? That's decent and costs a fair amount more than h100i but that's if I want to spend the money on it just for good looks..anyway I'll until I get the cpu and motherboard. :)

a liquid cooling kit would be good, those usually are reliable. the xspc or ekwb kits are the best, i would go with one of those. make sure that the radiator will fit in the case you'll get though, (pretty much everything fits in the h440)
