PC build advice, fans choice and placement for Corsair 400C

Hello guys. It is my first time building my very own PC from scratch and i wanted to get some advice from you. First of all i haven't bought anything yet except for the case mentioned in the title. My rig is (gonna be) as follows:

Motherboard Asus Z170 PRO GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory ADATA XPG Z1 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Storage Intel 600p Series 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Toshiba 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB G1 Gaming Video Card
Case Corsair Carbide 400C ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power

And my questions are:
1. Are there no compatibility issues over there?
2. Is the build any good?
3. Which fans should i use? AF or SP ones? I've been thinking about buying the 140mm Air series from Corsair, maybe putting 2 on the front, 2 on the top and one on the rear, or is that an overkill?
I do realize as well that there are 2 fans supplied with the case, although one is 120mm, another one is 140mm but it is just one, so i could buy 6 of them for aesthetical reasons, but then again i am not sure if that is neccessary. I guess the fact that i am gonna stick with an air cooler instead of a liquid one does change the things a bit as well as there is going to be a big obstruction in between the exhaust and intake fan(s). Not an expert in those things though.
3. I was thinking about changing the 1070 G1 with ASUS 1070 ROG Strix 08G as the price is almost the same, will it fit in that case though? as it's a bit bigger i think.

Build looks good, look at Asus homepage though if the RAM is supported by the board though.

Scrap Corsair AF/SP fans. They are noisy and are pretty low in terms of performance.
I'd go with Phanteks (140mm) or Noctua / Cougar (120mm). They push more air than the air series, have around the same pressure as the SPs at half the noise and longer durability due to a better bearing.
The Strix fits inside the case. Go for it if it's the same price.

Thank you for your response. I will check the ASUS page regarding the GPU, going back to the fans, what's the most optimal setup? I might be planning some small overclocking but that's it. I might look at the Phanteks ones, in case i take them, how many of them should i get? 2x on the front, 1x rear, 2x top, is that too much? Also i'd prefer if the fans had a red LED to match my rig, if possible only

Yes that is overkill.

For example: I got a sound dampened case with an i7+1070.
I have 1 200mm up front, 1 140mm intake at the side, 2x 140mm exhaust (rear+top)

My side intake is configured to only work at temps >60°C which only happens when gaming for a while (light gaming doesn't affect it at all)
My rear exhaust is running at minimum speed, my top exhaust hasn't hit 65% speed yet.

So 2x front, 1x exhaust should be fine.
I'd throw out the 120mm fan, add one new one front and the other one rear while leaving the other stock fan as additional front intake.

I'd like to add as well that the case will be standing on my desk, right in the corner, surrounded by walls on the rear and right side. I hope i still don't need the top fans?

Excellent choice of fans.
You can try it with the fan mounted rear one day and top the next day.
Then compare your temps
With fans a lot is try and error
