Hi guys this will be my first pc build, I want to keep it in the mid-high end side, closer to mid though considering its my first. let me know what you think:

Case: cooler master hafx. (I was considering the corsair 200r but I wanted a more future proof/cooler looking case)

MoBo: Asus p8z77-v deluxe

CPU: Intel i5-3570k

GPU: Evga GeForce GTX760superclocked (this might not be the most budget friendly graphics card but I'm willing to spend the money, let me know your thoughts on a better option)

SSD: Samsung 840 Evo-series 250gb SATAlll

HDD: WD caviar black 1tb 7200 rpm

Ram:Corsair vengeance DDR3 2x8gb sticks. (again I might be able to shave off some money here since I'm pretty sure 16gb of ram is a bit overkill for gaming but I'm willing to invest)

Power supply: Corsair professional series HX 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold

Question on the OS: with respect to gaming, does windows 7 or 8 have any advantages over each other? I have no issue with windows 8, I would also like to go with 8 in order to keep more current, but not at the expense of performance

I'm pretty new to pc building so please excuse my ignorance if anything here seems ridiculous.

Solution
The build itself is great. If you are looking for a little cheaper GPU, check out the 270x, nice card, less performance but a little cheaper. Other than that the build is great. CPU can easily be overclocked if you want to. And everything else it nice. As far as the OS, windows 7 will have better support for older programs as well as some drivers. But I would recommend going ahead with 8, might as well get it now as opposed to later.

Hope this helps!
