Hi!

I'm aiming to build new pc. I want to know what you guys think about this set up? What can be improved? My budget is $2000. Mainly this pc will be used in 3D applications and those two GPUs for Octane rendering engine.

Here are the specs:

- i7 5720k 3.3 GHz
- MOBO MSI X99A SLI Plus/ 3.1 socket 2011v3
- 2x GPU Gigabyte Gaming 6 GB GTX 980ti, GTX 680 (this one is from the old computer)
- Ram Crucial 16 GB DDR4 2400MHz
- HD Seagate 2TB
- PSU Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1050W
- CPU cooling - Noctua NH-U9S Fan
- Case - Corsair Carbride 300R

I also was wondering if that PSU is enough for two GPUs or too much and 850W would stick?

Thanks for help!

Solution
I'd stick with the 1050w just for the extra headroom it gives you. Also are you putting an SSD in there for at least the OS drive?

edit: get a HGST Deckstar for the HDD they have the best reliability currently.
