Approximate Purchase Date: 0-4 months depending on cost

Budget Range: Around $500 USD. I Might be able to swing a bit more.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: LOTRO, TeamSpeak 3, MS Office, web-browsing

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: New build from scratch

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com, amazon.com, microcenter.com

Location: Fairfield, OH US

Parts Preferences: I would like a good power supply (at least 750) Corsair maybe? And I would prefer GDDR5 and a SSD. I don't know if any of that is possible with this budget but it can't hurt to ask. I'm a desk-jockey, I know next to nothing about hardware. Any education you can offer is most appreciated. The preferences I stated are just things that I have read are better.

Overclocking: Maybe but not likely.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe but not likely

Your Monitor Resolution: I don't know what I would need. (recommendations please)

Additional Comments: Needs to run LOTRO on ultra-high with great fps and no lag. I also run TeamSpeak 3. Other than that productivity software is the most demanding thing.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I currently have only a laptop.

I have a mouse and keyboard and a Logitech G13 gameboard.

I would like to have a good upgrade path for the future.

Thanks so much to anyone who reads or responds.

I did find this but it's 3 years old so I am not sure if it still viable or the best bang for the buck so to speak.

750W power supply would be absolutely pointless, a 750W PSU is only necessary for $1500+ systems generally. Anything from 3 years ago is ancient now.
