Could someone please do a compatibility test for a Silence Based system that im doing?
System is:

Intel i3 7100 3.9 GHz
Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 1 fan
Gigabyte B250M
BeQuiet! Pure Rock Cooler
8GB Ballistix Sport Ram
BeQuiet Pure Base 600
BeQuiet System Power 9 500W ATX
WD 1 terabyte HDD

P.S. I know an SSD would be more silent than a HDD but......Budget cuts....

Make sure your ram is spec'd to run at DDR4-2400MHz. IMHO, that isn't really a silence based system since you already have fans in the build. Sound/noise is subjective, like art and to most what might be silent can be deemed noisy by others. Silent builds tend to have as less fans as possible and as many passively cooled parts.

I guess my question would be why are you using old hardware? An i3 8100 is a much better choice, as it is a pure quad core, and costs the same as a 7100, which is still a dual core with hyperthreading.

If budget is a concern I'd go G5400/H310 as it will perform close to that 7100 for about $40 cheaper. Changing some other parts may allow you to get a 240gb SSD for the OS and slower loading games.

I chose the i3 7100 because i wasnt sure if eigth gen processors were compatible with my motherboard. Now i know so u changed it, thank you again! As for mg budget, its around 700 to 800 euros. ( i would be ordering the parts off amazon Italy.

i3 8100 would require an h310, or b360 board. Your budget looks to be enough for an i5 8400.
