Okay, so I am planning a build for a coworker. She wants a pc that can do all her basics like web browsing, email, etc. However, she said she may want to do some graphic design at some point(she's an artist).

She also said that her grandson may come over and game on it, at some point. She wants the form factor small, as she doesn't have a ton of space.

Here is the computer I put together on pcpart picker:

CPU: Intel - Core i5-8500 3 GHz 6-Core Processor ($222.09 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master - Hyper T2 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($16.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock - H310M-ITX/ac Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard ($79.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Team - Vulcan 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital - Blue 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($67.89 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($58.50 @ Amazon)
Video Card: PowerColor - Radeon RX 580 8 GB Video Card ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT - H200 (Black/Red) Mini ITX Tower Case ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ B&H)
Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($98.89 @ OutletPC)
Total: $944.21

I included Windows, because she is a by the books person.

What changes, if any, would you all suggest?

Edit: Her budget was 800, but she was okay if it went a little over on the hardware. I'd like to keep it around 850-900 + the cost of Windows.

Thats a very good build, probably overkill for what she wants.

Im making assumptions here, but i don think her grandson is going to be popping over to play Battlefield 5 at 1440p. He's probably going to be play fortnite.

You could put together a system with a Ryzen APU (3 or 5).

What exactly is your reasoning for your build vs. mine? I am just curious.

You don't even need to spend that much, this would be overkill for her needs.

Well I am trying to, and I know there's really no such thing, future proof it for her. Plus, I have no clue what her grandson is planning on playing.

Also, she was okay with the build that I posted, I just told her I wanted to see what the communities online thought about it.

My biggest concern was how well the GPU will hold up and how good that NVME was.

Nvme is totally unnecessary, for a basic/gaming rig. Games, as of yet, still really don't take advantage of that extra speed, vs a SATA specced drive. Not all M.2 are Nvme either. Some are SATA spec. There have been some issues, as of late, of RX 580's dying, so I am not sure they are a good idea right now.

I think it will be a good build, it should do everything she wants, plus more. I upped the hard drive to give her more space for pictures/videos/graphic design work. I really like the 970.

I think this will do.
