Good day everyone! I'm currently helping a friend with getting a new self-built PC for the first time and I needed feedback from you? I'm currently shopping for PC parts.

So I currently have this:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor - €130 euros
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard - €150
+ ASUS PCE-AC51 AC750 Wi-FI card - €34
= €160
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB DDR4-3000 CL15 - €87
Storage: Kingston A2000 1TB - €138
GPU: GPU: PNY GTX 1660 Super 6GB - €248
Case: Cooler Master MasterBox MB520 RGB Midi Tower - €85
PSU: PSU Seasonic Focus GX-550 - €91
Monitor: AOC AOC G2460VQ6 - €150
Total price: ~€1089

The prices are either from amazon.fr or from another website. I got the prices from the friend. He is french if that is relevant to say for the prices.

So the budget actually is €800-900 euros but yeah due to this corona period, the prices are high so I might wait for a little and save more as well.

So here a few things I think that could be improved:
- RAM
The RAM I'm getting has 3000 Mhz as ram speed, but I see that the mobo only supports 2400 MHz, 2133 MHz, 2667 MHz, 2933 MHz, 3200 MHz(O.C.). I don't know if it would go down to 2933 Mhz when going to the profiler. I think I should get another ram sticks?

- WI-FI Card
I don't know if there are better and cheaper WI-FI cards out there, but this came with a combo of the motherboard.

What do you think of this build? Any advice is welcome!

switch the mobo for MSI TOMAHAWK MAX B450.You will still need to buy a wifi card if you want. The board is around 150$ (depending on where you live)
Supports really fast ram,and btw that ram should be atleast 3200mhz,trust me you will notice a difference. The price for the faster ram isnt like that big than what you wanted in the first place.
The psu should be good although im not really good at psu choosing.
If i were you i would go for 3600 cuz its better than 2600x,and its a perfect match for the tomahawk max.You dont need a bios update for 3600 on that board.
As for the gpu its ok and a perfect match for 2600x/3600.
I dont see anything else that needs to be changed.

Great! The only thing is that it would go out of the budget if I go for that mobo and a 5 3600x. How about the MSI B450 A-PRO MAX with a 2600X? It's cheaper than gigabyte's.

EDIT: The MSI Tomahawk is fine!

Regards,
that board is perfect for 2600x.A really good choice.
it supports 3200mhz and more with ease
-2 pci-e x16 slots for 2 gpus
-128gb max ram capacity -
-4DIMM slots
-has a m.2 slot
-6 sata III ports
-doesnt need a bios update for 2600x.
Perfect :)

i agree with vic 40,but make sure you go for 1600AF,cuz its better than 1600 for not more than 20-30$.Bassicaly its 2600 just named 1600AF.So you get the same performance for cheaper. The money you save can be put in a ram with higher frequency i told you about.
