hi I would like to upgrade my pc for editing to handle programs like after effects>
i was thinking to upgrade to i7 4790 with asus h81m-c , and 2x 8gb Kingston ddr3 pc-12800. is it good?

It has MUCH more features, more ports, faster RAM is useable, most stable power phasing, and is more suited to run that CPU. The H81 boards are for Pentiums and budget i3s. You will be wringing out that board every time you hit boost clock on that i7. It is not meant for it.

I would go with a Xeon 1231/1241 v3, if you have a dedicated GPU, and an H97 pro4. If you need IGP, then the 1246v3 with same board.

i need for video editing i already have a graphic card with 1gb memory i need only to upgrade cpu motherboard and ram to 16gb for not more then 500 euros

er, that graphic card might/mostly will bottleneck the cpu. what graphic card is it?
