Pc Build for photo and video editing.

Hi, Im planning to build a pc which ill be using mainly for photo editing, video editing, and very occasional gaming.


Processor i5 8400

Ram Corsair Vengence 16GB 2400mhz C14

Storage 250Gb m.2 ssd 960 evo
and 2tb segate barracuda

Power supply COrsair 450w

Motherboard Asus PRIME B360M-A


Please suggest, weather i should consider adding removing or modifying any of these components.


Id be really happy if imm able to cut off my cost a bit without hampering much on performance.

For what i know for video and photo editing CPU can do it all with IGPU to display only, adding an cheap card can also help viewing video, which supports DX12, if R7 265 (used) is avalilable take it, now depends how much it costs and how much are you willing to spend.

For video editing, you'll want as much horsepower as you can afford. A better choice would be an i7-8700. Another choice is an AMD Ryzen 7 2700. It's an 8 core CPU.
