PC build for Photoshop CC

Hello all,

I am putting together a build list for mainly running Photoshop CC, Lightroom, and the occasional game with decent graphic settings. I usually work in Photoshop with 3 or 4 large image files open at a time, while also running Lightroom on a second monitor, and the internet / file folders open on a 3rd monitor. Take a look and let me know if there are any conflicts or components you would upgrade.

Couple of build notes:
- I already have two WD30EZRZ 3TB SATA drives for storage which in intend to run in RAID 1, and one external 3TB drive.
- There are two M.2 SSD's in the list. One for OS (Win 10) and one for Photoshop Scratch Disk
- I know my PSU is probably overkill but I like the white theme.
- I am going with the stock CPU cooler since I don't intend to overclock.

Intel i7 8700 3.2GHz
Asus GeForce GTX 1060 Turbo 6GB
Samsung 970 EVO M.2 500GB (x2)
G.SKILL TridentZ Series DDR4 3200 32GB (4x 8GB)
Corsair RM750x - white.

My budget is $1400 and right now I'm at $1670 so I'm hoping to come in right on budget by purchasing on Black Friday, but I can probably upgrade a component or two if someone thinks it will give me noticeable performance gains.

That's a decent build. Although I personally recommend Ryzen instead. It'll also be cheaper. Have a look.

Yeah, since this is a woekstation you might benefit more from Ryzen's superior multi-threaded performance as well of its higher thread count.

As you can see Intel performs better in Single Core but the Ryzen's better for Multi-Thread.

I work lots of Photoshop, Illustrator, XD and inDesign as well as video editing. It's been workong wonders for me. The stock cooler of the 2700X is also one of the best I've seen for a stock cooler.
