Pc build has slow wifi but fine on laptop

So I built a custom pc using a wdn4800 wifif adaptor, its PCIE, but the connection is super slow and it takes forever to load a wepage. My laptop however has fast internet. I know I have the latest driver but its still slow.

Are you using the latest drivers?

What is the signal strength? the lower it is the worse it gets. Trying running a speedtest (speedtest.net or speakeasy.net or dslreports.com etc).

Also do you have a dual band router? 2.4GHz or 5GHz. make sure it's connecting at 5GHz.

Can you move the desktop so there is nothing between the antennas on the wireless card and the router and see if that improves anything?
