I play counter strike mainly where I should be maintaining 300 fps constant, but I drop down to 60 frequently and it causes screen tearing. Anyone know any fixes?

Solution
I would enable vsync and see if that gives you any issues. No reason to boast 300+fps when all your monitor can actually deliver is 144fps.

You should only need to uninstall the AMD, but it may serve your best interest to uninstall them all, reboot, then reinstall the nVidia drivers.
Depends on your monitor, is it 1080p or 1440p, 60Hz or 144Hz?

Solution is, cap your framerate to your monitor refresh rate. That way you won't have any screen tearing.

Actually, Higher/Lower FPS compared to the refresh rate of the monitor causes this problem.

I used to have an r9 290 and got 260 consistent frames every map, and my new gpu is much better, i should be getting 300 consistent, monitor is 144 and 1920

What monitor do you have, and what cable are you using to connect it?

go into nvidia control panel and under Manage 3D settings, try turning vsync on/off.

get latest Nvidia driver as noted above. If unsure how to delete old AMD drivers, download and run DDU (display driver uninstaller) and you will want to have already downloaded new nvidia driver so you're ready to re-install right away.

Should i do this with Display driver uninstaller and select amd? And then run the uninstall process?

BenQ xl2411z and I have turned vsync off, should I uninstall all my drivers then reinstall nvidia as well? Or just amd? Also should i uninstall intel graphics as well?
