Hey there guys, my friend is wanting to buy a PC next week during Christmas time but he has no knowledge with PCs. I can physically build it for him but I'm not the best with picking parts. A lot of users helped choose parts for me last year and everything worked out well so hopefully everything goes well again.

His price cap without taxes or peripherals is $1500 Canadian. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

Your from Canada so I don't know where you will be purchasing and the price difference but here are the parts I picked out and fit under $1500 U.S.

You don't need 16 GB for gaming.
Also z87-g65 gaming is only like $20 more than the g45.
Also, you could get stronger GPU in that budget, just like I put 780 in the build.
Why do you need a sound card? It's user preference but I think it's a waste of money.

Yeah I forgot to delete the sound card, it's really not needed at all. And alright thanks, just wanted some input but your build looks pretty good. Thanks a lot :)
