PC Build Help

Solution
So first, you have a 1000W PSU for a 386W build, you could go with something smaller (and therefore cheaper)

Second, you have sound card, is that necessary? Because unless you want to do high quality audio or something a realtek adapter on Motherboard is often ok. If you are not sure, check this out: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1rXcJuEsy0 )

Also, if you are just PC gaming you might get away with 8 or 12 GB of RAM (a lot of good gaming builds have just 8)

In short, it depends on what you want the PC for

I would also cut out the ram since i already have 16 gb of ram in my current build but i am unsure of compatibility with the new board. What is the highest wattage would you recommend i get to support the pc and external components? Also on the sound card well i used an on-board sound card on my previous build and i did not like it to much. I have a sound blaster z in my current build but it seems makes noises in some programs and games.

Bearing in mind that peripherals like monitor have their own power souce (to a plug in the wall, not PSU) I would say generally give yourself around 30%% headroom. So your 386W build wants probably a 500-550W PSU.

As for the sound card, if you find it necessary then by all means use it and I think you could reuse that RAM, yes.
