Building new pc for my dad and this is what i got so far

My main thing i am concerned on is the motherboard idk why but it seems to be the hardest thing for me to get. i was looking for some decent budget end motherboards

Gaming. Mostly WoW hes been playing that for almost 10 years but he said he wants to play others he just doesn't have the pc for it. which he doesn't.

Also rn u have a z97 mother board with a non-k series cpu, so you can save some money by getting a h97 motherboard

Just a few suggestions:
- No need 3rd party cpu cooler;
- A good H97 motherboard is enough;
- Extra money go for a 4GB GPU because some games just need more than 2GB for 1080p.
- Extra money will buy you a far better psu too.

A r9 280x is faster than a gtx960 and is around the same price, but it uses more power so u may want to get a higher wattage psu

Wich h97 is $12 more? H97 motherboards tend to cost less than z97

I just checked on Newegg and the cheapest h97 was $69 and the cheapest z97 was $85

But i am really liking what filippi posted only thing i changed was the gpu from gigabyte to evga that i cant help i will always be and die a evga fan boy. Thank yall so much with the help and some things to look at. Much appreciated

Yeah i just got myself the evga 850w g2 about a month ago but i looked up the xfx u linked and its made by seasonic ive read amazing things about seasonic. i did have one more question the mobo you linked ive never had a micro atx board and as far as i know the only difference is less pci slots. Anything other than that i should know before buying a micro board?
