I have been thinking of making a PC but I don't seem to know which case to take. I have the i7 6700 GTX 1070 ASUS ROG STRIX and MSI Z170A Krait Gaming mobo. Will I need a full tower or is a mid tower fine? Also can you suggest a psu for this build? I have selected a case but I'm not sure. It's the Thermaltake Versa N21 Mid tower ATX. Please do tell if any parts are missing.:p

These are the build's parts-
Intel Core i7 6700(Non k)
Asus Geforce GTX 1070 ROG STRIX
Msi Z170A Krait gaming
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb 3000MHz DDR4 RAM
Samsung 750 EVO 250gb internal SSD
Western Digital blue 1tb internal HDD
Thermaltake Versa N21 Case
LG 25inch Ultra Wide Monitor 1080p
Redragon Asura K501 keyboard
Redragon M601 Centorphorus

Solution
THe NZXT H440 also does not fit the GTX 1070 without removing the HDD cage. Since you want a 3TB hdd, I suggest you try another casing.

Also, the i7 6700k does not come with a cooler. You will need to buy one separately. I suggest either the Cryorig H7, Noctua NH-14, Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo or a water cooler such as the Corsair H80i.

Hello. (again xD) That i7-6700 will work just fine.

Your parts seem to be perfectly fine together. A mid tower / full tower is simply the size of the casing. The important part is the "ATX". Your motherboard is an ATX motherboard, thus you need an ATX casing.

You may also want an aftermarker cooler, but the stock i7 cooler should be fine if you do not overclock.

Almost any ATX format power supply will work, as long as it is a reputed PSU with at least 500W rated power. I suggest something like this:

Okay, after checking, the casing (Thermaltake Versa N21 Case) can actually not fit with the Asus Geforce GTX 1070 ROG STRIX. The GTX is simply too big for this casing. I suggest getting another casing if you absolutely want the ROG STRIX.

That iball power supply is not good enough unfortunately. It is not 500W rated, only peak. It might break under load.

Try out this website for easy picking out incompatibilities, and checking if you missed something. ^^

Click EDIT THIS LIST on the top right to add or remove components. I added a 1070 that fits in the casing. But you can always choose another.

Is the ROG STRIX 1070 better than others?
Which would you prefer?
Anyways, I saw the dimensions
The Dual you chose is 26.7x11.1x3.5
The ROG STRIX is 26.7x11.2x3.8

The difference in performance between two different GTX 1070 cards is minimal at best usually. The larger a card, the cooler it runs, that's all.

Any GTX 1070 that fits your casing will do the job quite well.

But will the STRIX fit in the case?
