I don’t know which part of this power supply cord goes into the storage drives and one of the wires that are like fully attached into the power supply that comes apart but comes off like a 1x1 and 3x3 and together 4x4

It looks like he l shape figure that goes into the storage bing but then half way down the wire there’s another one attached and that one fits perfectly while the first one does fit

I’ve plugged in the ATX power connectors but one remains, and I plugged in my pci-e into my power supply, but then I have 3 3x3 puns left and I know one of these has to connect to storages

on a standard power supply....
24 pin main cable.
eps power cable can be one eight pin now or two 4 pins if it two four pins it have cpu1 and cpu2 on it.
the video power cable set will be six plus 2 pin cables on one end. may be one to 4 sets depending on your power supply wattage.
sata power cables will have that "l" connectors on a cable.
the last connector are the old white/black 4 pin molex cables.

I have 2 8 pin cables coming out of my power supply, but my question is where does the 8 pin cable that separates into 2 pin and 6 go and why doesn’t the one that splits in half connect together

The 6+2 goes into a video card. It splits into a 6+2 because some GPUs need only a 6pin.

The other 8pin plug goes into a motherboard. Early P4 boards introduced the square 4pin plug for power. After that it was doubled to provide even more power to hungry CPUs. It should connect together. If it doesn't, you don't have to. Just plug both sections in firmly.

The one that is 8 pin and is in half does not connect and only one of them fits into the top corner?

Does this link help? I don't know of any 3x3 plugs. That's really odd.

It's modular. Your looking at the end that plugs into the PSU. There are still no 3x3 plugs on that PSU. Some 2x3s that plug into the PSU and provide SATA and "molex" plugs.

Like it comes with wires already attached and then 4 slots to put in, one for pci e which I put 2 for SATA and peripherals and 1 for I’m not even sure, I think for fans

This is one reason why I don't like modular PSUs. If you are brand new to building, it can cause issues seeing as you don't know how to do things yet.

That goes into your GPU. That's the 6+2 pin plug. Your video card either needs a 6 pin, or an 8pin probably. If it only needs the 6pin just plug the 6pin part in and let the 2pin part "hang loose".

If you have one of those low power 750TIs or 1050s it's possible you don't need to use this at all. Not all plugs are used. That's why modular PSUs became so hot. Only use what you need.

Correct.

Does your 1070 need just the 8pin, or more? These aren't videos showing the EXACT parts, but honestly it's not that hard to extrapolate the info needed. If you aren't getting it, perhaps call a friend over? This is really simple. Putting a heatsink on is a harder task.

Also, is this the right pin I put in? So on the motherboard there is a 4 pin connector one of the power connectors, I chose the half pin with the other have but only half of it fits, btw these two don’t go together
