Question Pc build help

I was installing a gpu and when I did my computer turns on and nothing displays. I do then I try and turn it off and it does not turn off and a orange light on by gigabyte motherboard blinks and then I remove the goi and it still does the same thing. Does anyone know what I did or knows how to fix it

Switch off PSU, unplug power cord, Make sure GPU is nestled securely in slot. you should hear a click or if you can see the latch flip that holds the card in place great. My guess was the GPU was not housed appropriately.
