PC Build not working

So i just built a pc and everything was working for about an hour. we updated all the drivers and while I was installing a game it just shut off. Now the PC wont turnback on. I just built it yesterday so all the parts are new. The GPU has a light on so i think it is getting power. Any help?

Core i5 6500 3.2GHz
Windows 10

1 TB Hard Drive toshiba
Tp-Link Wireless adapter

install a speaker and listen to the beeps, also check the motherboard lights.

Do you have another power supply to test in the computer and/or another computer to test the current power supply in? It may have been defective. As a precaution, you could try removing all of the cables and then reattaching them.

their are no lights lit up on the mother board and no sounds

This is my first build so i dont have another psu. i unplugged the power to the mother board and graphics but still nothing. ill try the cpu right now

edit: nothing changed when power chord to spu was taken off and put back on

I took it too my local computer shoo and it was indeed a bad psu so i exchanged it for the same version. Apparently other people have had the same issue with my psu. Thanks to anyone who replies
