Hello,

So i'm going to be replacing my power supply, cpu, and gpu this christmas, and i was wondering if, when i'm putting them into my pc, if i should do them in a certain order? Sorry if this is a dumb questions its just that you can never be too careful.

You did not post your system specs, so the safest route would be to install PSU first, followed by CPU and GPU, in whichever order you prefer. But PSU needs to be up to the task. Can you list specific components you are using now and the ones you will be using to upgrade?

no real order to follow but it's usually easiest to start with the cpu and it's cooler first in case you have to remove the motherboard in the process. then the power supply so you can run the cables with the least amount of stuff in the way. finally the gpu is probably the easiest so pretty simple to do it last.

do note what is plugged in where so you ensure you get everything powered again once the new psu is installed. a couple pics is a good idea before you start so you can reference it later if need be.

Currently im using a APEX SolyTech SL-400TF 400W ATX12V psu, a AMD fx 4300 cpu, and a gtx 660 gpu. Im upgrading to an evga 500 watt psu, a AMD FX 8320, and an evga gtx 1060 3gb version.
