PC build overclock

In this build i wanted a motherboard that is able to overclock.
PC specs
i7 2600, normal
6gb ram 1600mhz
Hard drives 1tb, 250gb.
Gpu, gtx 960

I know my cpu doesnt overclock very well i wanted to know if the ones on my list are good buy.
i5 3770k
i7 2600s

For overclocking you will go with the K series, since it has an unlocked multiplier, which you can overclock by simply increasing the CPU multiplier.
You will need to pair it with a motherboard and RAM that play well while overclocking

Use MSI afterburner or window task manager to check your CPU/GPU/RAM usage to see which one is currently bottleneck your system. If your current GTX960 is always running at or near 100%, then upgrade your CPU will not improve your game performance much more.

I ment i7 2600k, but i know that my cpu is the cause im getting gskill 8gb ram and a new cpu. my budget will only allow the motherboard and ram. I wanted to know what kind of motherboard should i be looking for, thats compatible. thanks for the help.

1. i7 2600 can not over clock. If you want overclock the CPU, you need K version like i7 2600K along with Z68 or Z77 mobo.
2. If you pair GTX 960 with i7 2600, GTX 960 is weaker than i7 2600 so GTX 960 will always be the bottleneck of your system. Upgrade i7 2600 to i7 2600K or i7 3770K will not improve game performance since GTX 960 already max out at 100%.
3. i7 2600 is 1155 socket, so you want 1155 socket mobo. These mobo LGA1155 with following chipset will work: H61, P67, B75, H77, Z68, Z77

Your right it is the gpu. So a new one is the best option for me. I was thinking it would do better once i overclock the 960 as well as everything else. Thanks alot for the help.
