Hello, I'm fairly new to this site and working with PC's. I have a few questions regarding upgrading my current PC. I would like to be able to play a few newer games at at-least 1080p 60FPS if possible on a $350-$400 budget.

Current PC Specs.
Processor AMD A8-5500 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
Speed 3.2 GHz
Number of Cores 4
Video Card AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series
Manufacturer ATI
Chipset AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series, Dedicated Memory: 1024 MB, Total Memory: 4.0 GB
Memory 12 GB

I was wondering with these specs and parts listed below, is purchasing a new motherboard an absolute necessity. (Recommendations on different parts that are around the same price is also completely fine with me.)

Parts I'm considering.

Gigabyte AM+3 AMD 970 SATA 6Gbps USB 3.0 ATX AM3+ Socket DDR3 1600 Motherboards (GA-970A-DS3P)

EVGA 600 B1 80+ Bronze, 600W

ASUS STRIX Radeon R9 380 Overclocked 2GB DDR5

Thanks you for any assistance :)

Oh, ok. The GT 950 looks really good for what I want, great reviews as well. Thank you. :)
