PC Build with 240 fps on Multiplayer Games.

Solution
Do you want RGB all over the place? or sober?
Do you want it to be silent? or it doesn't matter?
Do you want reliability? (i think about aircooling vs watercolling)

What I want to propose you (i don't know everything but I trust those parts):

Hi lars_focusrite,

First, you could say Hello to others on the forum.
Then, we need more info on what you want to do with it.

What game you want to play at this refresh rate? What resolution?
What is the budget? do you already have your screen keyboard etc??

I apologize for my rudeness and correcting. Greetings respected community from Toms hardware I sometimes forget there are real people behind this machines.

The game I play is PUBG and I would like to be more competitive. Most of the times I have some other programs run in the background with that making it a problem. I am using Razers chroma keyboard, Kraken 7.1 headset, mouse the Naga Chroma, extra keyboard the Tartarus with Razers Cortex and Synapse Sofware. Currently, I am using two Benq(GC2870) 28'inch monitors at 60hdz. I would like to get a new screen of 3840 × 2160 resolution on the 28'inch display or more. The main goal is to get the best Performance in FPS when multiple players come together on the map. I already know the cost of a PC like this can be expensive but I find a lot of pleasure playing this games especially PUBG.

So if the budget is not a restriction, what can fit your request :
- Z370 Motherboard with feature you want (RBG, kind of bios, power phase number for your overclock etc...)
- I7 8700K overclocked as you wish
- Massive Aircooler Dark rock pro3 or Noctua NH15S to keep you CPU cool enought
- GTX 1080 Ti with a good cooler like the MSI Gaming X series
- 1To SSD like sasmsung evo
- 1To HDD like a WD blue or Seagate
- 16Go of RAM at least 3000MHz
- At least 600W 80+ bronze Power supply.
- Case : Corasair 270R, plenty of room and pretty cheap.

This makes a 1700-2200€ computer depending onf GPU, NAND and Memory prices evolution.

The screen you have is only 60Hz. Actually, 4K Screens don't go beyond 60Hz or are very expensive (too much IMO)
About the benefit of 4k on QHD for this panel size, i don't see it.
Also, having 240FPS on a 60Hz panel, i don't see the point, it will still be blurish...

The sweetspot nowadays are 1440p 144-165Hz it's were you really feel the smoothness without having to have a huge power needed due to the resolution.

Am I clear?

PUBG is very poorly optimized and with todays hardware your not going to get 240 FPS.
Your connection to the server will also be very important.

Pretty much the best you can get today.

With that, you are prepared for years to come.
Just keep in mind that prices on graphics cards, memory and storage are awfull today.
Keeping an eye on deals can make you save hundreds of euros!!

Rodolphe.

EDIT :
For the screen, it really depends on you.
Are you sensible to screen tearing?
About color accuracy?
Response time?
