Hey,

So my family computer just broke down and I'm looking to either buy one or build one.

This is really just for surfing the web, word documents and maybe some light photo editing but nothing intensive. For that reason I'm really looking to spend under £300.

I was thinking an i3 processor as it will be good in many years to come but could that be an overkill for the things I'm using it for.

If you have any links or recommendations on a good build please post below. Thanks :)

Yes, the i3 will do for those needs, my suggestion :

Thanks for the useful replies, just for ease I think I'm going to buy a prebuilt one. Now I found this -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELL-INSPIRON-660-MT-PC-INTEL-CORE-i3-2120-DUAL-CORE-4GB-1TB-NVIDIA-GT620-WIFI-/360575044293?_trksid=p5197.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26itu%3DI%252BUA%26otn%3D3%26pmod%3D290846435589%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5470010498316604046&_qi=RTM1089355

Same price but has a graphics card, I was thinking HP is a good brand but is Dell good? shall I go for this one? Many thanks :)
