I just built a gaming pc and I was wondering if I made the right choices, this is my build,

Asus Sabetooth p67 mobo (with 50mm assist fan for thermal armor)
I7 2600k (included cpu cooling fan)
2 Radeon 6970s
Antec 1200W power supply
7 GELID 120 mm fans
150GB velociraptor
1TB of storage

Will this get the job done?

Solution
i5 2500k probably would have sufficed if it's purely for gaming.

Getting an SSD instead of the velociraptor might have been a better way to go, but it's not bad as it is.

That should be running triple monitors decently in many games with pretty high settings. So you did fine.

Sounds more than fine to me. I think the PSU is a bit of overkill for only two 6970s and a 2500K. In the worst case the system might only use a little more than half that capacity

An 800W-950W unit would have been a better match and cheaper ^_^. Of course if you might be upgrading the system latter on it's nice to know you can handle more power hungry GPUs.

Ok now that every thing is in I have a small problem. My seconnd card doesn't quite fit. Here are my options. Return the cards and get different ones, or cut slots in my case. A 1/2 inch by 5mm slot on the side and about 5 of those on the back for venting. I am leaning towards the latter cuz I am running the first card already and I want the crossfire performance upgrade. I am about 10 frame rates average short of what I want without it.

BTW the reason for the slot on the side is to slide the metal tab of the card into the case so the card can actually move far enough back to connect to the board. The slots on the back are for the vent on the back of the card under the video outs.
And I have a ton of cooling in my case so running both wont be a heat issue. So what should I do return or modify?

The motherboard hangs too low in this set up and doesn't utilize the top two graphics slots in the case. So if you are crossfiring two three slot cards they don't fit.
