I am new to PC building,i have seen that GPUs have VGA,DVI,HDMI.Do you need to connect those with a wire to your monitor?

So just to clarify, unless you're got some crazy high-end monitor, it will require a power cable and then just one cable from the monitor to the graphics card. In most cases the bundled cable with the monitor will work perfectly. If you've got a high end gaming monitor that has a high resolution, frame rate, or gaming features like "G-Sync" or "Free-Sync" it's worth using a "Displayport" cable, and using displayport connections on your graphics card and monitor. That's because some of the more advanced features aren't compatible with DVI or HDMI.

If however, you just have a relatively "normal" monitor, running "Full HD" (1080P) and 60hz, DVI, HDMI or Displayport make no difference. Just use whatever came with the monitor and is...

VGA is an older analogue standard and should be avoided if possible.
