Question PC cannot find wifi

So lately, my pc has been unable to detect a wifi signal. At the place that is supposedly be showing a wifi logo shows a globe with a x on it. When i troubleshooted it, it said that i had to connect a ethernet cable from my wifi to my pc. ( I do not have an ethernet cable) I did not want to buy an ethernet cable so i searched my problem up online with my phone. And i did not get anything that was related on my problem. I am reseting my pc to see if anything helps.

Look in Device Manager first to see if the wireless adapter is listed under "Network Adapters".
