I have a mining rig with only 3 OC gpus and OC'd processor. I need to keep the case open with a filtered 26" stand fan in front of it blowing 24/7. I have a ryzen 5 1600 at 3.8 on stock cooler and 3 gtx 1070 cards on the mobo, all at +650 on mem, so they get HOT. Because its a huge sore sight having a fan in front of the thing with the case open id like to get a case for this thing. Im considering the Corsair 740, placing the included front fans on the top as exhaust and cooling the cpu with a corsair H115i system mounted forward. i have a powered pci extension i can use on one of the cards. Im concerned if this set up will be able to keep the system cool once closed. Typically this wouldnt be an issue for a regular computer, but this system is also a miner and aside from a couple of hours of gaming in the evening is running in OC mode on full load 24/7. Im trying to keep the system cool to ensure future casual use as one of the cards will eventually be used in the current set up to build a pc for my g/f when mining finishes slowing down in the next few months.

so far works great, i installed two 140mm intake fans at the bottom to help cool the exposed gpu stack. once i removed the hard drive cages i was able to route the riser cables neatly behind the mobo and place the 3rd gpu in the second compartment out of sight, it ran over night just fine under load but the hard drive got a little warm at 114F. the case has room and holes/screw slots for three 80mm fans going upwards on compartment two but for now i just put another 140 at an angle to remove heat for the time being. The system stays much cooler, with the new cooler and case, the cpu under load went from 140F and now it stays in the 90's the cards stay cool as well. this system is much much quieter than having a large pedestal fan...
I got the case and cooler, will be placing the cooler at front and stock front fans on top to exhaust. two cards side by side and the third on a riser standing virtically, not sure how ill keep it standing just yet but i may have it near the cpu since im not stuck with an air cooler for that. Ill post results to help out anyone whos interested. Again the case is the corsair 740 with the H115i cooler for the cpu and (3) GTX 1070 cards.

Also this was the first time i worked with corsair large products. I was very impressed, although the radiator on the H115i is very delicate and the hoses are very stiff, it works very well. The case was a joy to work with, came apart easily, i didnt feel like i was at risk of snapping off or breaking anything when taking it apart twice already and it uses parts made to last for repeated disassembly for getting to the magnetic dust filters and general maintenance. The screws that came with the case where assorted and organized into small individual zip lock bags. i was impressed, the last case i had just had a bag of random screws it seemed just taped to the inside. So this was very pleasing. It also came with a few zip ties but i used my own from a large bag as i usually end up cutting and redoing and such several times. The water cooler i got was a certified refurbished, to save an extra $50, the only issue is that it didnt come with a manual but i found that online easily. I also had to get another bracket for the AM4. i though it was kinda lame to have to spend $10 with shipping for something i felt should have been included but i was able to find another store near me that had the bracket kit for 3 bucks. Overall, im very happy with corsair as this really helped out. Other cases seemed too large and over priced, this one has a nice two compartments that allow lots of fans and cooling. I chose the 740 over the 540 as the inside is just a tiny bit bigger and i wanted that space. For monitoring temps i used the corsair link app. On another note, the cooler does connect to the mobo by using a usb header. it looks a little cluttered seeing wires coming from the pump. In the future id like to see longer wires that hide under the hose sleeve and radiator to allow routing away into hiding.
