pc case lid won't close

i have a corsair spec 02 case but the case lid won't close properly because the hard drive connectors are in the way.

is there anyone who could help me out?

The hard drives are suppose to be mounted facing the non window side like this , that way it clears and helps with cable manafement:

i just turned my hard drive around and it does make a huges difference!
but i feel kind off stupid for having my hard drive that way.
