Hello Community,

I wasn't sure if this is the right place to post about modding the pc case.

I could not find any information regarding it on the web and finally decided to post a question here.

I am getting a new PC Case and I want to change the trim of my
PC Case with the Carbon Fiber Wrap.

The question is that, does anyone know anything about carbon fiber with heat relation?

I found some people were applying Carbon Fiber Wrap onto their Graphic Card even internally.

Wouldn't it cause to rather HOLD the heat even more and possibly overheating at worst?

It's relatively thick.

Pictures for your reference to get better idea.

Thanks in advance!

The shroud on GFX cards is plastic and doesn't conduct heat well to begin with. If you rich the plastic, it's barely warm.... the fans blow the heat away and as it's not on direct contact with heat sink other than possible at mounting points, you're fine.

I'd suggest asking this question at overclock.net or.... contact Bill Owen who is a well known modder and runs a shop that sells the stuff.
