Hi,

Recently purchased a HP Elitedesk 800 G5. Problem started after 1 months of use. Certain PCs automatically restarts without warning, all other PCs' mouse slows down like some kind of slow motion effect, including the HP. All PCs back to normal when HP is disconnected from network.

Tried the followings with HP, but problem still recurring:
  • Fix & auto IP
  • Reset network adapter
  • Changed patch cable
  • Format PC
  • Update firmware

Am out of ideas. Help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Make and model modem and router?

How many other network devices - wired and wireless?

What exactly did you do with respect to "Fix & auto IP"?

On the HP Elitedesk:

Look in Reliability History for error codes, warnings, and even informational events that correspond with the restarts and slowdowns.

Reliability History uses a timeline format but as I understand your post, you formatted the PC and reinstalled windows - correct?

If so, then the history will only go back to the date of the reinstall.

Use Task Manager and Resource Monitor to observe system performance using just one or the other. (Not both at the same time). The objective is to note some change in resources when the restarts/slowdowns occur. What resource is...

Do the same on other devices as well. Watch before connecting the Elitedesk and then after the Elitedesk is connected.

Run "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the EliteDesk's Command Prompt on the Elitedesk. Post the results.
