Hey guys! I recently just last night was overclocking my PC. And I was doing some overclocking with my GPU I have a corsair 750w powersupply. And when I was going through some settings my PC in a way made my whole section of the house power go out. Anyone else ever had this happen to them haah?

Solution

Yah dont give up just unplug some of that stuff and throw the xbox one out the window.
LOL your using to much electricity that happend once when i got my 3570K to 5.0GHZ and my Vapor X to 1300/1900 and was running my Microwave 360/PS3 in the background and having AC ON

in a nutshell: you're using to much electricity on that circuit lol and ur not the onlyone he he..

If you have this happening, you should have an electrician take a look at your wiring and circuit breaker box. An overload should affect one circuit only, not the whole house, and even then it takes a lot. I have 4 computers connected to the circuit in my bedroom and haven't tripped a breaker. Those systems have a total of 16 hard drives, 6SSDs, 72GB of memory, and 18 processor cores, so they consume a lot of power.

Or plug it into a diffrent outlet thats on another circuit or unplug things running on that circuit. There is no reason to give up on your overclock because of this simple to fix issue.

He said a section of the house not the whole thing. Which is a circuit being overloaded its not a big issue just dont run as many things on that circuit.

Oh I know guys haha, I was just asking if anyone else had this happen to them. On the circuit I was running on was my PC 750W, 2 monitors, cable box, modem, 3 lamps, xbox one, TV, and my phone charger, and I think that's about it that I can remember, haha. I am not gonna start running at stock settings because of the power issue haha I can't go back now. I am waist deep with OCing it is so much fun!
