Currently i am building a PC for a friend of mine but i am inexperienced (this will be my 2nd build) , so i am not sure about my choices . So i would like your input before ordering anything .

The PC is going to be used for gaming , internet browsing , for image editing and creation (Mainly through Photoshop) and it is desirable to not make any changes for as many years as possible.

Although i know that the PSU is an overkill , he plans on getting a second GPU in a year and SLI it. (If getting second and/or SLI isnt worth it let me know)
Also I live in EU so availability might differ.

Any suggestion is welcomed as well as any prediction on how many years it will last .

Looks good but a couple tweaks: You do not need a z87 chipset if not getting a 'K' edition CPU
Imo, always get the single fastest GPU you can as SLI is not magic.

With that in mind I would get a smaller PSU and a faster GPU, especially if not upgrading is the goal.

have your friend wait till sept/dec to build. in the pipeline is amd r300 gpu. the newer intel skylake cpu. also google nvidia pascal gpu. depending on how well the amd r300 do nvidia may be forced to bring in pascal sooner. also nvidia is dropping newer 900 cards latter in the year. when they do the older 980 may drop in price and be a better by then sli two 960.

Don't know why he should wait that long, for not measured performance.I don't say it won't be better, but you're talking about >5months of waiting.

A good 750watt psu for a lot less could already do sli.
If he's not going to overclock is the Xeon V3 an option with it's hyper threading something more for the future and some better rendering times if the programs make use of the extra cores.
Don't see extra value of the WD black series for storage. The blue should do fine.
A said look for a Z97 motherboard with sli capabilities if you can get it for the same price.By now should the Z87 probably have the right bios for these cpus, but why get an older chipset.

hmm i should go for r9 290 or gtx 970 ? also there isnt going to be any watercooling , just 6 fans .
Recomended watts of PSU ?

Waiting is not an option .
You are right about that but Xeon and i5's have a 100euro difference in my shops . And believe it or not i am already at 1500e (i dont have a money limit but when we talked about 1600ish towards 1700ish he was a bit reluctant)
Will change the hdd you are right.
