Question PC Component Upgrade Question

Hello. I have been thinking about upgrading PC Components to get 144FPS Gaming consistently.

Current Rig
CPU: Intel 6700K
GPU: Gigabyte G1 GTX 1070
RAM: 16GB 3000 LPX VENGEANCE
SSD: Samsung 860 EVO
Cooler: Noctua NH14
Motherboard: Gigabyte Gaming 3
PSU: SeaSonic 750W Gold
I have several options I guess, I am thinking about gettign a 2080TI even though it is quiet expensive, however, Is it better to stay with GTX 1070 and get AMD Ryzen 3900X with a new MOBO? I get decent frames, however I cannot stay on those frames. My rig gets me 144 fps most of the games but it dips below 100 most of the time

EDIT: I am up for any sorts of upgrade recommendations. I have a great case so I wont be changing it, or the PSU both are great. I am very happy with cooler as well. I am considering any sorts of upgrades. I was also wondering if upgrading from cheap parts to expensive parts would be wise? For instance, getting another NVMe then focusing on CPU and MOBO, and then GPU.

EDIT2: Sorry for lots of edit, I also produce music that is why I was considering getting AMD 3900X to utilize those cores and play games at the same time

Your CPU should not be an issue with the frame rates, so video card is the first one I would check on replacing. Also keep in mind some games don't get to high frames no matter what the card is.

What games. What resolution. What detail settings.

Do you have a variable refresh rate monitor.
