Hey guys,
I've been having a crashing issue with my build for the last year or so, but it has gotten particularly bad in the last month.
The PC regularly crashes when performing high demand actions, mostly during gaming like loading into a map with many objects or clicking next turn on a particularly large game of Civ VI. The PC will crash to a black screen and then restart itself quickly after the crash. Once Windows boots up the fans on the PC ramp up to maximum speed for about 5-10 secs. The higher the settings are set on the game the more regularly it will crash.
My GPU drivers are up-to-date.

Parts list:
Ryzen R5 1600X
DDR4-2400 16GB Ballistix Sport LT
MSI B350M Bazooka
Sapphire NITRO+ RX 590
Corsair CX500M
1x 120GB Boot SSD, 1x 1TB Main drive, 1x 450GB Game drive

Solution
Could be either:

  1. Faulty GPU
  2. Faulty PSU

Remove GPU and stress test it in friend's PC with reputable stress testing software such as 3D Mark Firestrike.
