Pc Constantly crashing

I've been having trouble for this for months and wondered if someone could help. Every time I use my PC, after two or so minuites my PC will crash. The screen will freeze and my lighting for my chroma keyboard will switch off. I will also not be able to interact with it in any way. For input I have a mouse, keyboard and wireless USB adapter for internet

i5-6600
8GB Ram
240 SSD
Windows 10
500W power supply

Hello... Well you can have hardware or software causing this... or just plain over heating too.

1) one place to start would be re-checking all your power connections in your case... make sure all pins and connectors are in their proper place... not pushed out the back or black/discolored.

2) how old is the CPU fan? check that connection... if the MB senses no Fan rotation then that would cause a shutdown... as a "simple test" you can disable/change what the MB Bio's is suppose to do if it detects a fan failure.

3) another option is to read what the OS has recorded for that error at the time of the error.

Here is the Windows event debug screen... and You NEED to be logged on as administrator to the OS...

Right click computer-manage-System Tools-Event Viewer-Windows Logs-System/Applications/Security.... Double Click on the "RED" errors, for more information, General/Details... and files/drivers/Apps, comments/suggestions/information associated with them B )

Expanding Window panes and Posting screen images from here will help Us... But copy and posting text will work too B )

*kernel 41 errors mean the OS was not properly shut down... either by You OR the hardware.

Thanks for the reply, the fan is 4 months old and I checked all the connections. They're fine. Here's the photos you wanted. They're only he ones from the most recent crashes but I can the ones from previous crashes if that helps

Hello... great Pics B ) also click the "details" tab too will help us with more information.

1) Well what I'm seeing in the WMI examples is something is trying to communicate with a ///root directory which is the deep deep secret areas of your OS and file system... typically this will be a Virus or Microsoft themselves... but more likely you Could have some outside security threat here... and the WMI will shut down your system fast in response B o

2) The APP example is Microsoft win10 "Crapware" "Microsoft get started" trying to get accepted into your OS... you need un-install that APP from the OS or sign on to stop those calls/problems...

Typically both of these will be triggered by a internet connection... as a "simple test" un plug/disconnect your internet connection too further test your computer without these items popping up B /

1b) A fast remedy for a Virus/malware is to just do a "clean install" of your OS, 15-30 mins and they are gone... they can only live on the drive... but sometimes people have not backed up their 'personal" work to do this fast remedy B /

No I don't, I also tried resetting my PC and that didn't work. You said there was a file I should delete? What is that file and where would I find it?

Hello... the " "Microsoft get started" app call error? well... I have not installed WIN10 for these very reasons ... B D but there is a large list of them I see... and look them over and start comparing them to your APP errors in the event viewer... Cortana and the TV apps were causing a lot problems in earlier versions...

So I did both of these options and it's still crashing, I also checked the logs after each crash and there is no errors, is it a hardware issue then?

Hello... Well Event Viewer should still record a Kernel 41... but YES it's pointing towards some hardware if you can't keep your computer on for a few minutes.

4) If you boot into your BIO's and let it sit on that screen... will the computer crash too after a few minutes?

No, the computer does not crash will on the BIOS or safe mode. the computer is also lasting longer than previously before the reboot

Hello... Well that is good 'tests" and information... your hardware is not crashing in basic BIO's operation or "safe mode"

Personally I would get another Hardrive/SSD and try a new OS install on it... because I have spare ones B )

But another option would be a "Clean" install of the OS on your current Drive... but this would lose any current, Apps, personal work or Data on it... So backing up some things would be required before doing this... unless you don't care what is on it and want to get your OS and computer working good again really fast. If you have all the right OS install/driver media handy... 15-30 mins is all it takes.

Ok so after doing a few tests it only seems to be when I open steam my PC crashes, I can play overwatch fine

Hello... if you can find the error thru the methods I gave you... you can contact "Steam" about this problem... or google the WEB for further information about steam B ) I don't experience with Steam.

You could try to un-install the "Steam" software and try a re-install Control Panel-programs and features... re-boot after any OS changes... maybe there's been a change between the "Steam" and the OS upgrade to "creator" B /

You can also clear your Event Viewer Logs to reduce the amount of information there and have the most resent "errors" in your view.
