My pc crashed a few days ago while gaming (nothing too stressful just AvP) since then I haven't been able to use my pc at 1920x1080, after approx 10-20 seconds at 1920x1080 my screen goes Black, everything resets and it loads back up at a low resolution, with Windows telling me I need to install the latest drivers for my GPU.

The thing is I have the latest drivers, and it just puts me in a constant loop of download, restart. With nothing ever actually improving.

I have already done a clean install of Windows. Which helped my case. But the moment new drivers were installed for my GPU the crashes started again and I am back to square one.

The systems recognises the GPU is installed so I don't believe it to be a failure of the the hardware, I know it's a driver issue but I've already tried installing older drivers and the problems continue can anyone help me with This? I recently built the system and I don't have to be stuck with a £1000+ paper weight.

Specs.
CPU: I5 7600k @3.8ghz
GPU: MSI GTX 1070
RAM corsair dominator platinum 16gb @3000mhz
650w PSU bronze standard
