Question PC crash and hard reset

I have had this issue for a while now when playing games, my pc freezes and I can’t move the mouse and the computer is still running with the screen on and I have to hold the power button down in order to fix any ideas what the issues could be my specs are listed below and temperatures

cpu : i7 4790
Gpu gtx 1070 zotac
Ram 16gb
Hard drive: 1tb sshd
Power supply: 650w Corsair black
Cpu when running games 50c
Gpu when running games 60c
Any help would be appreciated as it’s really annoying me

A 4790k would/should be running much hotter than 40 degrees while gaming.
What is your cooling?
What are you measuring temps with?

Sorry I meant to put 50c I am using a cpu cooler can’t remember which one, and speccy

Use CPUID HWMonitor. Leave it running while you run a game for a few minutes. What are the max temps for all 4 cores?

I'm guessing that it's your choice of memory. It looks like you list that as "16gb".

More realistic. What speed do you have the CPU set at? 4.0? 4.4? Are you overclocking anything? Can you tell if the game is still active (as in, the mouse and keyboard are frozen?) or if the entire computer is frozen? What mouse/keyboard do you have? If you run a benchmark, say the latest 3DMark, do does it complete and give you a reasonable score?
