Every now and then (mostly whilst playing a certian game) my pc will freeze and if i try and alt tab like i normally would the keyboard doesn't work, eg if caps lock is on before the crash i can't turn it off again unless i restart my pc. Anyone know what could be causing the issue?

gotta have WAY more info than that. need full pc specs, cpu and gpu temps when this happens, possibly disk usage/cpu load/gpu load when this happens, what you are doing when this happens...

if you dont know how to find these things, use google, then come back

pc specs are
cpu:amd 8350
gpu:nvidia 770
8 gigs of ram
2 hard drives
I sadly am not able to get the temps/hdd usage of my stuff as this happens inconsistantly and at random, eg it can happen or sometimes it won't for no apparent reason, but you can assume due to gaming cpu will be around 50 degrees and gpu maybe like 60

still need more info. mainly your EXACT psu model, because it sounds like a PSU issue. do you have anything over clocked? are you using an aftermarket cooler? guessing what your temps are does nothing. download OpenHWmonitor, which will log most of this info for you, even between reboots, and you can save and post the log or just post the results. then you can see what this info looks like right before your pc craps out. you will probably be surprised by something not acting correctly. this is a basic way of pc troubleshooting

well that psu seems ok, so i dont really know. youre gonna have to monitor your rig like i said and see what could be the issue. could be your gfx card dying, or your psu. but those are just my guesses based on the info

Thanks man, it could turn out to just be nothing if i'm lucky, it doesn't happen that much but i just wanted to be sure
