So I built my rig about 2 years back, and it's been running great up until tonight. Running a game this evening and bang it crashes completely.

1. PC seems to reboot
2. Screen goes blank
3. When the PC reboots motherboard goes through its red light checks and it stops at the ram red light, flashes twice (no beeps) and reboots.
It does this process twice automatically and then just boots up with no display on my monitor. The red light eventually goes off. Only thing remaining is the green light on the motherboard.

The motherboard is an Asis Sabertooth x79

Hope someone can shed a light!

1) Go to the windows event logs to check the error message, to see the problem relate to the memory or not, because the ram red light.
other thing you can try,
2) Go into the BIOS set the ram in XMP profile setting, and try update the intel chipset driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775 after that try use the pc to see you still get the problem or not. Because the chipset driver comes with ram controller driver too. http://www.intel.com/content/dam/staging/image/Products/x79-blockdiagram-450x408.png
3) Run the MemTest86 to test the ram one by one. http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
4) If you did oc either cpu or ram, and reset it.

Clear the CMOS by the jumper, also use the MemOK! button too. Start with cpu/cooler/one stick RAM/GPU ( use the low power consumption video card if you have one), try boot the PC to see the PC works or not.
If it works, then test the RAM, or add the GPU, HDD/SSD, etc. one by one to find out which component has problem.
If it does not work check it has the error message like the LED code or not.
