Pc crashes after 30min-1hr of use

I been having a problem with my computer. After around 45 minutes of use, my computer will Freeze. My temperature seems fine and all fans still run after the computer freezes.

My Power supply is:EVGA 500 W1, 80+ WHITE 500W, 100-W1-0500-KR

This was my first time I built a computer so there's a lot of room for error

Well, it could be that something is wrongly connected to the PSU. Can you replicate the problem? It there a specific time limit for it to crash? Are you given a BSOD?

TO be honest the EVGA W1 are junk PSU and may very well be the issue. Another option could be overheating of the CPU/GPU, so you need to monitor your thermals with somethign like RealTemp for the CPU and MSI Afterburner for your GPU. If the CPU is overheating take off the cooler, clean off the old paste (rubbing alcohol and coffeee filters work great) and apply new, Noctua NT-H1 or Arctic Silver/MX5 are good compounds. Use between a rice grain and small pea sized amount of paste, then make sure you follow the instructions of the cooler precisely to make sure it is seated properly.

The only way to test the PSU is to try another one, but again I would personally just replace it all together anyway. Something like the Corsair CX or CXM, or the Seasonic M12II are way better budget PSUs.

no BSOD just freezes in place. will always crash within an hour, and if the pc is reset it will crash within 10 min

Well after testing the GPU and CPU temps, I think I can say that overheating is not the problem as they were both running under 30 degrees Celsius when my pc froze. So perhaps the PSU might be the problem. I don't know if this is significant or not but the only other thing i noticed is that all my accessories like my mic, wifi adapter, backlit keyboard still run after freezing.
