Hello! Here are my specs:
Gtx980 geforce
I7 core processor
750watt psu
16gb ram corsair (2 8 gigs)

I got a new 144hz Lenovo legion y25f-10. Hooked it up and it was working just fine for a while but after a couple of hours my whole PC started crashing. When I load up a game and play for 20 minutes plus it'll crash and sometimes it will crash instantly as soon as I start the game.

I run a dual monitor setup now. The new one of course running at 144hz and the old one 60 hz. I run games on 144hz monitor, and having things like discord and Google chrome on the other.

When crashing the audio stutters a bit and both screens goes black mostly, once went it white and once it went a really dark yellow. I have a black widow chroma that animates different light and that freezes as well. I cannot do anything and I'm forced to manually restart pc.

I checked event viewer and I could not find anything related to the crash. I also checked to see if there were dump files for the crash but the PC doesn't seem to be creating them. I messed with the settings to try to force it to create a dump file the next time it crashed but still nothing.

Disabling the 144hz monitor and just play on the 60hz seems to fix it from crashing but I'd really love to use the new monitor of course.

I checked the temps while gaming before it crashed the MAX it reached was 50C which isn't bad I don't think.

I would love a resolution so thank you in advance for reading and working with me!

Yeah you know what I think it is the cx series T.T. sorry I'm not home to confirm the exact model so thanks for your patience. I recently bought it about a month ago because my old PSU was crashing with my old monitors and it seemed to fix it with this new psu. But crashes started happening with this new monitor. And I don't know how to tell which hardware is failing!

I did a ram test last night with memtest86 and my ram came back with 0 errors so I don't think it's a ram issue :s

Thanks for the quick responses. I did a test by playing destiny and chatting on discord.

After an hour in my monitors crashed to black screen but I was still able to talk to my friends on discord.

My GPU temp was floating around 60 C and my CPU temps were floating around 50 C doing a test on 120hz with the new monitor and old monitor hooked up.

Just did another test disabling the new monitor
And just using the old monitor. Game crashed again and it's not just destiny but rainbow six siege and also Rocket league also crashed.

I'm not sure why this is happening all of a sudden :s

After doing uninstall reinstall of windows and graphics card and resolution not reached, I dusted the inside of my PC again and found that one of the pci power pins on my GPU was loose. Clicked it back in and it's working like a charm so far at least!

Thank you so much for working with me bmockeg!
