Hello all, I have a build which is about a year and three months old.
MSI Gaming 5 - MOBO
Intel i5-4590 @ 3.30GHz w/ stock cooler - CPU
Sapphire R9 290 - GFX
G.Skill Ripjaw X 2x8GB - RAM
ThermalTake ToughPower 750W 80+ Gold - PSU
Windows 10
Roughly two months ago I began having issues while joining a CSGO game. During the loading screen to join the game, (after the lobby) my PC will fully crash and shut down.
I cleaned it out the case and components with compressed air, reseated the CMOS, used different RAM slots and verifying each RAM stick. New thermal paste, and reseated the GPU.
I've also checked my temps in game, and my CPU is 155 degrees fahrenheit or lower, and my GPU is 135 degrees fahrenheit or lower.
This problem does not happen under normal use, no hardware is overclocked.
It will work sometimes, and other times it won't. I'll be able to join a game at random, but it is not at a determined schedule or reason as far as I've been able to tell.
I downloaded FurMark to stress test my GPU, and the EXACT same symptoms as joining a CSGO occurred. The PC completely crashed when I started the test.
Possible faulty GPU/PSU?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
