My new pc (<2 months) has this problem when it just crashes when gaming, no BSOD no error report when starting up. GPU fans start roaring at 100% and the sound turns to a buzz and I have to hold down the power button to shut it off but the GPU temps never go over 74c (Checked in MSI Afterburner and Wattman). I never OC or Strain it in any way.
while not gaming occasionally blacks the screen for no more than a quarter of a second and continues to work normaly
games on which it happened:
CS:GO
STAR WARS Battlefront
Battlefield 4
Fallout 4

My Specs:
CPU: Fx-8370
GPU: Powercolor RX-480 Red Devil 8gb
MB: MSI 970 Gaming
PSU: Raidmax Cobra Power 850w 80+
RAM: Kingston 4gb+4gb (don't know what model, only thing from the old pc)

Solution
So the pc was at repair for 20 days and It came back with a report that it ran 3dmark11 for 96 hours and played 4k youtube videos for 50 and there was no problem so I took and replaced the power distributor and now it works so pretty sure that was the fault...
Sounds like driver corruption. Does your screen ever go all kinds of crazy during these crashes?

The fans suddenly going 100% sounds like something's caused the GPU to suddenly get fully loaded and heat up in a hurry. That could be a bad driver, or it could be an issue with the card itself.

Screen just looses connection.
Just installed the newest crimson drivers so I will keep you up to date.
thanks

Can you recommend me a memory test that I should use because the problem is still here
Thanks

Did the memory test that you told me 2 times both passed
We can rule ram, any other tests you can recommend me?
Thanks

Solution

I actually mean the power distributor, it still has the same PSU inside.
