When i launch black ops 3 after the activision logo when it asks to press enter.. at maximum graphics with 140% render resolution... the pc crashes and restarts. This also happens with battlefield 1 beta and battlefront consistently. I've tested the cpu ram and gpu and they turned out to have no problem. However all the games seem to run at low settings but even in game when you turn the graphics at maximum and in battlefront even at high it crashes again. This began to occur around a month ago and previously i could play any of the games with the highest of graphics.

i7 4790k
gtx 970 gigabyte g1 gaming
16 gb gskill ram
asrock fatality x killer mboard
patriot blast 240gb ssd
coolermaster g650m psu

Solution

Faulty PSU is my guess.

why do you think so ?

Typically, a high load (heavy graphics load) that results in a failure, especially a failure that can be repeated indicates a PSU failure. Also the PSU brand CoolerMaster isn't the best, not horrible just not great. I recommend Seasonic G, XFX TS, EVGA SuperNova G2, GS, P2.

You can try running MemTest86 to rule out memory problems, this test is slow and you need to run multiple passes to rule out memory issues.
