PC Crashes straight after login

My PC crashes as soon as I log in, i can use apps for about 30s-2m then the computer turns off completely (no blue screen, just black) and it attempts to restart itself (as I can see the lights on the GPU, Mobo and the fans go on), and it fails. To turn it back on i have to turn off the PSU and wait for the motherboard lights to go off, then turn the PSU back on and the PC will (usually) turn back on. If it doesn't, I can get it to turn on by unplugging the display port cable and touching it on the metal around the ports on the GPU (very strange I know).
The issue started happening just after I installed my oculus rift, however after uninstalling both the oculus and steam VR software the problem persists. The PC will not work in safe mode either and it fails to boot onto a USB (unless I'm doing it wrong). It is essentially unusable at the moment.
I just got the PC back about 36 hours ago as the RAM was dead, and it was working very well playing games all day. I also disabled all startup items (in task manager) and it doesn't help at all.
I cannot think of anything else to try, Im gonna take it to a repair place tomorrow but if anyone in the mean time has any suggestions that would be great.

If you haven't already, make sure to reseat that ram and maybe check thermal temps. Since you can't get it to work in safe mode, maybe try linux distro in a differe HDD and use that to boot to troubleshoot further.
