Hello! I have had my computer for well over two years by now, with the only upgrade applied to it being the replacement of a GTX 650 GPU to a GTX 1060. Two months ago, my PC began to shut down when trying to handle War Thunder. So naturally I went to my local (Pretty far) hardware store and got Nano Diamond thermal paste, cleaned off my CPU and fan, then applied the thermal paste. However, I'm still having issues with it shutting down loading games (The primary culprit of this issue is War Thunder). What's interesting to note is that the crashes occur more often when I have the game and Chrome open. This issue had not appeared before September, and in fact the PC could handle games on maximum settings and Chrome simultaneously. Could anyone help me resolve the problem?

Sounds like either a driver failure or a memory issue. I had some instability with war thunder a week or so back before i updated my video drivers so if you have not done that yet that should absolutely be your first step. Other than that it's possible that the install has become corrupted. I don't have the game on my laptop but if i remember correctly there is a check install/ verify install option in the launcher so i would try doing that. Other than that if that fails try uninstalling and reinstalling war thunder entirely. Since all the important stuff is saved on the cloud this isn't a big deal. If none of this works then i suspect it may be a memory leak of some kind. try keeping task manager open while attempting to load the game and see if your ram is filing up. Hope this helps!

My memory stayed at 33% when I loaded it up, though the Disk stayed at 100%. Is that normal?
I will uninstall and reinstall War Thunder anyways, and hopefully that will help
