My PC has been crashing for a while now, a few months or so, when playing certain games, like city skylines for example, it'll be happy for about an hour and then just crash, black screen, complete restart, like someone pressed the reset switch. I've checked through for the latest Graphics drivers and they're all up to date, didn't change a thing, and after following some tips from this thread: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2267621/gpu-crashing-overheating.html i've still got no idea what's wrong with it. I downloaded the MSI afterburner tool to monitor my core temperature of the GPU, it's standard temperature is at 55-60 degrees celsius with little to nothing happening, i even attempted to increase the voltage setting to see if that would fix it, it didn't do anything. this is a custom built PC and parts have been changed and fiddled with, but my PC has been doing this since mid august and i haven't a clue why. Please help.
My specs are:
Nvidia Geforce GTX 550Ti
16GB RAM
2x 1TB hard drives (one Samsung one WD)
i3-3250 Dual core 3.5GHz CPU
64-Bit Windows 7 Operating system
Thanks in advance
