PC Crashes whenever I play games

PC is crashing a few minutes into a game and most times it's less. Seems to be during loading as the hard drive is pegged and GPU is starting to ramp up. Whole system does a restart with no warning or freezes. I used prime95, memtest, and msi kombustor and everything worked fine. Could there be a power problem?

Here is my system specs....

Here is the HWInfo recording of my last crash...

I've checked my CPU, GPU, Memory tests and it all seems fine. I'm sure I have to missing something. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thanks.

Solution

The GTX 1060 is fine for 1080P, but once you go to 1440P it really stresses the GPU more so than 1080P.

XFX XTR 750W

Running 2 Asus PB278 monitors at 2560x1440

Update: Spent more time checking Kombustor and realized I never ran any of the tests with Antialiasing. Started to run the most strenuous tests with 2xMSAA and the tests all ran ok. Changed to 8xMSAA and it crashes on first test. Went back to tests and ran tests at 4xMSAA and it crashes on test 3.

Well I only game on one of the monitors, but it sounds like that doesn't make a difference. <Sigh> I thought a 1060 would handle the monitors, I just bought the monitors 2 months ago and everything worked fine until around 8/20. This makes me sad. 🙁

Solution

I think this is the issue. Lowered my settings to 1080p and it seems to run much better. I need to do some more testing to verify, but thank you for the insight into this issue. 😀

Yeah that will do it. :)
